| Acid-based
fertilizer a "hot" topic |
|   |
| Recently there
has been great interest in acid-based fertilizers - and Agri-Inject has
again taken the lead in this area. |
|   |
| Many growers are
using acid-based fertilizers as either a soil amendment or a water
amendment. If soil has a high salt content, the acid-based
fertilizer can encourage the salt to leach below the root profile.
Alkaline soil can also be the result of the irrigation water - so the
acid-based fertilizer changes the pH of the water before it reaches the
soil, helping change the pH of the soil over time as well. |
|   |
| The injection of
infuric acids is also used in drip systems to keep drip lines clean. |
|   |
| In response to
this trend, Agri-Inject has developed acid-compatible versions of both
its Series-G and mRoy fertilizer pumps. These versions use either
polypropylene or Alloy 20 parts to change out standard components.
Even our patented Mister Mist'r™ injection check valve comes in an
acid-resistant model. |
