| Tips
for using soluble bags with your Agri-Inject system |
|   |
| Today, many
herbicides and fungicides are packaged in soluble bags. These bags
easily dissolve in water - greatly reducing waste. They also offer
an extra layer of protection between you and the chemical. |
|   |
| At Agri-Inject,
we encourage the use of any product that is environmentally smart and
increases user safety. After all, that's what our producers are
all about. |
|   |
| However, there
are some precautions you should take when using soluble bags with your
Agri-Inject system. The primary concern is the possibility of the
bag getting wrapped up in the mixer blades before it has had the chance
to dissolve. That's why you should never throw the bag in the tank
and turn on the mixer immediately. |
|   |
| For optimum
performance, we recommend you follow this procedure: |
|   |
 |
Fill the Agri-Inject
tanik one-third full of water. |
 |
Place the chemical bags
in the tank - allowing time for the bags to completely dissolve. |
 |
Using a garden hose
attached to the flusher fitting - and plugged into the calibration
tube fitting - turn both ball valves on and let the tank fill from
the bottom. |
 |
Turn on the mixer and
allow tank to fill to the desired level. |
 |
Turn off the valves,
remove the flusher, install the calibration tube - and the unit is
ready to calibrate. |
|
|   |
| Another option is
to dissolve the chemical and the bag in a 5-gallon bucket of water and
then pour the contents into your Agri-Inject tank. |
|   |
| By following
these simple, common sense guidelines, you can enjoy the benefits of
soluble packaging - and continue to get the most out of your Agri-Inject
system. And remember, always follow the instructions in your
operator's manual. |
